Many students choose Academia International because they can mix with students studying vocational training courses such as Hospitality (hotel management), Commercial Cookery, Patisserie (pastry and baking), Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy. Because we offer a variety of nationally accredited courses, students can study the subjects below. [Programs] English for General Purposes: A course for students from beginner to upper-intermediate level. This course helps students study English in a relaxed atmosphere. English for Academic Purposes: An English course for students who wish to advance to Australian universities or colleges. This course supports international students in improving their English so that they can progress to higher education. Certificates II-IV in Spoken and Written English: By completing 6–7 subjects over a 15-week program, you can earn a nationally recognized certificate. [Choosing a Course] If you have no particular goal but are interested in English or want to study English for travel, choose General English (GE). You will learn how to hold conversations in English and study so that you can talk confidently with native speakers. If you want to study Vocational Education and Training at Academia International, the Certificate in Spoken and Written English (CSWE) course focuses on the English used in beauty or hospitality, but you may also study General English and English for Academic Purposes. If you wish to go on to an Australian university, choose GE or EAP (English for Academic Purposes). In EAP in particular, you can learn skills needed to study as an international student at university, such as how to take notes in class, how to write reports, how to prepare presentations, and how to do group assignments effectively.
