About the School
Alexander College is a private college located in Vancouver, which has been named one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Many students who are unfamiliar with the Canadian environment and want to gain a deeper and broader understanding of English and Western culture study at Alexander College. To help these students adapt quickly to Canadian society, we offer English programs as well as first-year and second-year university courses, and we also help students transfer to the university of their choice after graduation. The college has also been approved by the Minister of Advanced Education to award the Associate of Arts degree, one of its university programs. Alexander College is registered in the BC Transfer System. Schools registered in this system are approved so that university courses completed there are recognized at other universities, which helps students transfer directly to leading universities in the Vancouver area and Canada (UBC, SFU, UVIC, WSU). - Transfer to 4-year universities in BC: As a BCCAT* member institution, the college offers a wide range of first- and second-year university courses whose credits are recognized at all universities in BC, and students can transfer to 4-year universities in BC through the University Transfer (UT) program. * BCCAT (British Columbia Council on Admissions & Transfer) is a credit recognition system for universities in BC, under which credits for courses offered by BCCAT member institutions are recognized at all member institutions. Small classes and thorough student support: With an average of about 40 students per class, classes are smaller than at comprehensive universities, which strengthens closeness and rapport between students and professors. Through more thorough student management, the college supports transfer to prestigious universities in the U.S. and Canada with excellent credits. Careful study support, transfer counseling, and free tutoring: Through careful counseling from initial enrollment to transfer preparation, the college helps students avoid wasting credits and provides 100% support so that there are no difficulties in the transfer process. Free tutoring is also provided in English, math, and science. Affordable tuition for international students: Compared with other schools offering the same programs, international student tuition is the lowest in Vancouver. Flexible start dates: By offering 4 terms a year (January, May, July, September), the college gives students convenience and helps them complete many credits in a short time. Work Permit: On-campus and off-campus work is available during studies, giving students the opportunity to work on and off campus. After graduation, students can also apply for a Post Graduation Work Permit and work legally for up to 3 years.
