About the School
The ILSC Montreal campus has moved from Old Montreal to a new downtown campus, and since January 2020 the ILSC Montreal and Greystone College Montreal programs have been offered at the new downtown campus. The new campus is a 3-minute walk from McGill Metro Station, so public transport access is excellent and getting to and from school is very convenient for students. It also has a campus environment similar to the stylishly designed ILSC campuses in Australia, and is set to be equipped with very modern facilities such as 26 classrooms and a kitchen with an espresso machine. We are first introducing the expected look of the new campus in a video. New campus address: 550 Sherbrooke St. West, Suite #800, WEST TOWER, Montreal, QC (use the elevator to the EAST building) View on Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/hmNYf6b1V1e59dPF9 ILSC aims for 'STUDENT-CENTERED' education, that is, education that puts students first. The curriculum, designed around students' interests and concerns, lets students choose the classes they want and helps them enjoy learning English in a variety of flexible ways. ㆍ Original university-style ESL curriculum ILSC offers more than 60 university-level subjects, and students can choose the classes they want in both the morning and the afternoon. ㆍ Diverse mix of nationalities ILSC applies a quota system that limits nationality ratios, keeping the proportion of Korean students at 35% or less, so you can study alongside students from more than 40 countries. ㆍ University Pathway to prestigious North American universities Through the university pathway programs offered by ILSC, students can not only advance to prestigious North American universities affiliated with ILSC but also prepare to successfully complete regular degree programs. Students who apply for the university preparation programs can receive a conditional letter of acceptance from the university concerned. ㆍ A long-standing paid and unpaid internship program ILSC's internship department, which is run directly by the school and has a long tradition, is connected with local companies and helps students do internships in fields of interest according to their major and experience. Each intern is assigned a coordinator who helps them job-hunt successfully by preparing cover letters and résumés and practicing mock interviews, and provides continuous monitoring throughout the internship. ㆍ Excellent instructors ILSC hires only well-qualified, experienced teachers who hold a bachelor's degree and an English teaching certificate. Together with these teachers, ILSC invests in ongoing research and development of student-centered teaching, and provides high-quality classes that match students' needs and levels. ㆍ Counseling services (Cultural and Academic Counseling) ILSC has Korean-speaking counselors who help students understand Canadian culture and resolve and understand a variety of issues, such as conflicts between students from different cultures, and through academic counseling with the program teacher, students can change their course registration. ㆍ A wide range of specialized programs At the advanced level, many schools no longer have programs left to choose from. ILSC offers a variety of programs for advanced-level students, including a Business Certificate program, an internship program, and Greystone College diploma programs (TESOL, Business, Hotel Management). ㆍ Learning English through activities For students' leisure and English learning, ILSC offers a variety of activities organized by professional coordinators after school and on weekends.
