About the School

ILSC's goal is 'STUDENT-CENTERED' education. The curriculum is designed around students' interests and concerns, and lets students choose the classes they want, helping them learn English in an enjoyable way through diverse and flexible methods. ㆍ Original university-style ESL curriculum ILSC offers more than 60 university-level subjects, and students can choose the classes they want in both the morning and afternoon. ㆍ Diverse nationality mix ILSC applies a quota system that limits nationality ratios, so Korean students are kept at 35% or less, and you can study alongside students from more than 40 countries. ㆍ University Pathway to top North American universities Through ILSC's university pathway program, students can prepare not only for admission to top North American universities partnered with ILSC but also for successfully completing their degree programs. Students applying to the university preparation program can receive a conditional letter of acceptance from the university. ㆍ Long-established paid/unpaid internships ILSC's internship department, which is run directly by the school and has a long tradition, is connected with local companies and helps students do internships in fields of interest according to their major and experience. Internship students are assigned a coordinator who helps them job-hunt successfully by writing cover letters and résumés and practicing mock interviews, and provides continuous monitoring throughout the internship. ㆍ Outstanding faculty ILSC hires only highly qualified, experienced teachers who hold a bachelor's degree and an English teaching certificate. Together with these teachers, ILSC invests in ongoing research and development of student-centered instruction and provides high-quality classes tailored to students' needs and levels. ㆍ Counseling service (Cultural and Academic Counseling) ILSC has Korean-speaking counselors who help students understand Canadian culture and resolve various issues such as conflicts between students from different cultures, and through academic counseling with the program teacher, students can change their course registration. ㆍ Diverse specialized programs At advanced levels, many schools have no further programs to choose from. ILSC offers various programs for advanced-level students, including a Business Certificate program, internship programs, and Greystone College diploma programs (TESOL, Business, Hotel Management). ㆍ Learning English through activities ILSC offers a variety of activities organized by professional coordinators after school and on weekends for students' leisure and English learning.
