About the School

SSLC is a long-established ESL school that has produced more than 150,000 international students over more than 20 years. It offers finely graded ESL classes from beginner to advanced level through the morning GROW (Grammar, Reading, Oral Skill, Writing) curriculum, delivered identically at all campuses, and in the afternoon it also holds regular level-based speaking and grammar classes. It also offers a wide range of special programs, including Business English, Power Speaking, college and university pathway programs, and exam preparation classes. The campus is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, with libraries, shopping malls, restaurants and other cultural amenities nearby, providing an excellent environment in which to experience Canadian city culture in many ways. In addition, classes are small, averaging 10 to 14 students, and curricula are offered according to English level, maximizing learning efficiency. Special programs provide a certificate and a diploma for the course upon completion, and students can later go on to a variety of career programs (early childhood education, business, nursing, etc.) at the sister school, Sprott Shaw College, so student satisfaction with the school is very high.
