About the School
CPILS is the first English-language training institution established in Cebu, the Philippines' premier resort destination. It offers all students from non-English-speaking countries who want to study English, including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, Russia, and Belgium, broad opportunities to improve their English, quality educational programs, and a living environment with optimal all-in-one facilities. Boasting the largest scale in the Philippines, CPILS has around 260 classrooms and around 180 dormitory rooms, as well as a dining hall, audiovisual room, library, fitness club, swimming pool, snack shop, and cafeteria, all in a single building, so that students can live comfortably there and feel the atmosphere of a school rather than a mere academy through various activities. It also takes pride in an outstanding faculty and excellent management system befitting its size. Innovative Quality Education CPILS is the first school to offer a teaching method that blends the educational benefits of in-depth one-on-one lessons with interactive group classes. Other schools in the Philippines offer only one-on-one lessons or only group classes, but CPILS students experience the best of both, and can make up for the Philippines' weak point, pronunciation, with the only certified (all TESOL-certified) Native Speakers (Americans and Canadians). Systematic English Courses CPILS follows an integrated language program that systematically links all of its English programs. These programs let students experience a variety of conversational environments. The curriculum is a highly in-depth English course of 6 levels (beginner, elementary, lower intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate, and advanced). The course offers 3 types of programs: 1:1, 1:4 (Group A), and 1:8 (Group B). Unlike other schools, CPILS lets students choose the program type. CPILS students can take all 3 types of programs at no additional cost. Our students are placed accurately by level according to their English ability and benefit from 27 hours of attentive instruction each week. Moreover, those 27 hours do not include supervision, guidance events, or self-study. Regular exams are a management system in which teachers test students and decide whether they can advance to a higher level. Basic materials and handouts prepared by teachers are all provided to students free of charge. Textbooks and the handouts needed for class are provided along with many references and teaching materials, and the extensive collection of books is freely available to students. Ideal Class Size CPILS strictly keeps the ratio of students per Native Speaker (American or Canadian) teacher at a maximum of 1:8. Dynamic Teachers International Teachers - We are very proud of our international family. They are teachers from the United States, Canada, New Zealand, or bilingual Filipino teachers from the Philippines. All teachers at CPILS have built careers in their respective ESL fields based on excellent qualifications, diverse teaching experience, and experience in many countries.

Activities
Scuba Diving Cebu has 6 of the world's 10 most famous diving spots. In a word, it is the perfect place to dive. You can see the tropical underwater world you have only seen on TV, and experience colorful schools of fish and marine life firsthand. If you formally learn scuba diving, you will receive an orientation from professional instructors (wearing equipment, underwater signals, how to handle emergencies, individual questions, etc.) before diving. You can also obtain a diver's license at a lower cost and with simpler procedures than in Korea, and dive anywhere in the world. ㆍCost (based on 5 participants): 9,500 pesos (at a local shop), 11,500 pesos (at a Korean-run shop: equipment rental and lunch included) Golf In Korea, too, golf is at the threshold of becoming popular, and demand is gradually spreading to younger people. In Cebu, golf is also one of the sports that is easy to try. You can learn golf, which is essential in modern business, at a low price in Cebu while studying English. ㆍFor practice only: 25 balls per box ㆍ1 box = 25 pesos, 10 pesos tip per box ㆍWhen learning golf with a Teaching Pro, the Teaching Pro fee is 250 pesos (per hour). A package of 20 sessions is available for 3,000 pesos ㆍPractice for putting & short game: 30 pesos ㆍ9-hole course: 500 pesos (accompanied by a Teaching Pro is possible) Horseback Riding Demand for horseback riding is steadily growing in Korea as well. However, supply is still limited and prices are on the high side. Women in particular take up horseback riding for their health and to diet. In Cebu, too, horseback riding is easy to do and can be enjoyed at a lower price than in Korea. Swimming There is a saying that if you come to the Philippines, you may not learn English but you will learn to swim. This is because there are so many swimming pools in every neighborhood and many houses have pools. In reality, however, many dormitories and boarding houses do not have swimming pools, of course because of the cost. The many resorts and hotels in Cebu have spacious, clean swimming pools with various amenities, which can be used at low prices. Light Aircraft Flying It is still a luxury sport, and the cost is considerable. A single flight costs about KRW 50,000, and obtaining a license costs about KRW 6,000,000. Island Hopping Tour The sea around Cebu is among the cleanest in the Philippines, and tourists come one after another. Everyone experiences an island hopping tour at least once. You rent a traditional Filipino boat called a banca and snorkel to see the clean waters of the Philippines, filled with tropical fish and coral, and enjoy the wonderful experience of feeding the fish and being surrounded by many fish in the water. Lunch with barbecue, tropical fruit, and light drinks is included, and you can stroll along white-sand paths on a nearby island. You can also fill your stomach, hungry from the underwater mask adventure, with a generous seafood feast (about 30 kinds of seafood dishes). Car Racing You can relieve a body and mind tired from studying and homesickness with car racing. The cost is about 200 pesos.
