About the School
JIC Baguio is an English school located in Baguio, the Philippines' city of education, offering high-quality English education and living conditions at reasonable prices. The school has two campuses in Baguio City: the Main Campus and the Premium Campus. The Main (Challenger) Campus offers IELTS and ESL courses and is popular for its cost-effectiveness despite the large number of one-on-one classes. The Premium Campus offers a variety of courses, including speaking improvement, beginner courses, business English, and senior courses. Both campuses boast the best facilities in Baguio. As a result, many people from around the world, including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and Mongolia, come to our school to learn English. Thanks to its cost-effectiveness, many students choose medium- to long-term study abroad programs of 8 weeks or more. Most of our teachers are full-time staff. We hire the best teachers by evaluating their English knowledge, practical experience, background, and personality through interviews, tests, and mock lessons. Before starting their teaching duties, teachers receive training to learn JIC's teaching methods. We are committed to providing not only training for new teachers but also ongoing training for experienced teachers. We use every spare moment for training to ensure that we consistently deliver high-quality education. In addition, one of the strengths of JIC's education is its outstanding research and development (R&D) team. Each JIC course has specific goals, and we produce all core materials in-house to achieve these goals efficiently. Everything, starting with all of the IELTS materials and including speech building, reading aloud, presentations, debates and discussions, and working holiday, has been developed by the R&D team. This forms the foundation for delivering JIC's original education, which sets us apart from other schools. JIC offers top-level living conditions at both its Main Campus and Premium Campus in Baguio. Students can choose from single, double, and quadruple rooms according to their preferences and budget. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, and cleaning and laundry services are provided twice a week. The facilities also include a gym, a convenience store, and a cafe, so students can enjoy everything they need without leaving the campus. Three meals a day are provided on weekdays, and brunch is served from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekends. As the students come from many different countries, the menu includes a variety of cuisines, such as Japanese, Western, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic dishes. In addition to Filipino staff, staff from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam also support students from various countries, providing a comprehensive support system. JIC is not only accredited by the Philippine government but also officially recognized as a top language school by the Philippine Department of Tourism. We are also partnered with an official IELTS organization. By working with partner agencies around the world, we are able to welcome students of many different nationalities. [Challenger Campus (Main)] 73 Del Nacia Apt,Camp 7, Baguio City, Philippines The JIC Main Campus is recommended for those who want to learn English in a strict environment. Surroundings
Baguio is located 250 km northwest of Manila, about 6 hours by bus or about 50 minutes by plane. It was planned and built by Americans as a summer retreat during the American colonial era in the early 20th century, and with its clean natural environment, many foreigners visit every year to relax, so there are many opportunities to use English. Also, in April and May, when Manila is at its hottest, the Philippine government, including the presidential residence, moves to Baguio to escape the heat, which is why it is also called the summer capital of the Philippines. Located on a plateau at an elevation of 1,500 m, its average annual temperature is only 17.9℃, a climate well suited to studying. It is the largest education city in the Philippines, home to several universities, including the well-known University of the Philippines, Saint Louis University, the Philippine Military Academy, and a theological college, and almost all locals can speak English, so it is easy to be exposed to English. With this atmosphere, we can confidently say that Baguio offers comfortable and safe conditions that are ideal for studying.
