About the School
PINES Main Campus (new) now open. Campus 1: #3 Rommel Mansion Building Ignacio Villamor St, Lualhati, Baguio City, Philippines Campus 2: #49 Village, Marcos Highway, Baguio City, Philippines A newly constructed building for a residential language academy, equipped by PINES with the best facilities for students' convenience and studies. The main campus amenities include a gym, a large Korean mart, a coffee shop, a bakery, a massage shop, a Korean restaurant and a Filipino restaurant. It is located right next to the Presidential retreat facility, and with Wright Park and more nearby, it offers an ideal environment for walking and exercise. Within walking distance there are various cultural spaces such as coffee shops, restaurants, Starbucks, hair salons and spas; it is a 10-minute drive to SM in the city center and a 30-minute walk to the Starbucks at Camp John Hay. High-speed WiFi throughout the academy - fast WiFi in the dormitories, classrooms, gym and more (3 enterprise 300M Fiber lines installed). Operates an official British Council IELTS test center and an official TOEIC test center. Drawing on years of curriculum and teacher management know-how, PINES focuses on helping students speak and understand English in a truly practical way through situational conversation, discussion, debate and presentations. When teaching many students, individual attention can easily be neglected. To solve this problem, PINES conducts regular level tests from the moment of enrollment and provides customized education that takes each student's weaknesses and characteristics into account. PINES aims not only at English education, but also at fostering a global outlook through natural exchange with international students. PINES students live together with many Japanese students, and can experience a variety of cultures in addition to English. Studying with Japanese students is a great opportunity to understand other cultures and develop an open mind beyond learning English. School Features
- Korean homeroom manager system To help students grow in English and resolve their concerns, PINES operates a system of Korean homeroom managers for each batch. PINES curriculum The PINES Sparta Speaking Program, born from a curriculum proven over 10 years and PINES' own speaking education know-how, improves students' English skills in a short time. Optimized campus operation We operate the Rommel Campus exclusively for new students and separate campuses for beginner, intermediate and advanced classes, so each student attends a campus optimized for their level. Accurate level tests Every 4 weeks For accurate level-ups, PINES checks students' English skills more precisely and fairly with individual speaking tests held every week and the PEPT test developed by PINES itself every 4 weeks. High-quality and diverse elective classes PINES offers elective classes of as high a quality as its regular classes, and each student is required to take 2 hours of elective classes of their own preference. An excellent teaching staff that other academies envy A strict and effective teacher selection system. A 4-week intensive training system for new teachers and a detailed observation and management system allow us to continuously provide students with excellent teachers. The highest attendance and extension rates in the Philippines The statistical records alone show how hard students study and how well the academy is systematically managed. Student meals To provide nutritious meals, all three meals a day are Korean food, and Korean dietitians and cooks constantly work to develop PINES' own menu. Japanese students Currently about 15% of students (about 70) are Japanese and study together with Korean students. Unlike other academies, most PINES Japanese students stay for a long period, so the time they study and live together is relatively long. Excellent auxiliary facilities The main campus, Quisao Campus, has a large supermarket, a bank, a Korean pharmacy, a Korean dental clinic, a massage shop, a hardware store and other facilities students need, so daily life is convenient.
