About the School
The University of Southern Philippines (USP) was founded in 1927 and was elevated from Southern College to the University of Southern Philippines in 1949. With a tradition of more than 80 years, it is a comprehensive university that became USP's main campus when it relocated to the Lahug campus in 1945, and it currently operates affiliated elementary, middle and high schools as well as a special education institution. UBEC Language School has operated the Cebu ESL Language Center since 2005, and in recognition of its achievements and capabilities, it has been officially operating as a USP-affiliated ESL Campus since 2012. We are confident that the ESL courses and vocational training courses of the UBEC Campus, together with the USP credit recognition program, will be a great help to your language study abroad. UBEC's system, a Philippine English education system that achieves maximum results at minimum cost, will now serve as an even more reliable partner for our study-abroad students as a USP-affiliated ESL Campus. - English to English learning English to English learning is UBEC's own English learning improvement program, developed through seven years of research aimed at improving students' language study habits. In addition to regular classes, about 3 hours of English-to-English study are conducted every day, through which students acquire proper English study habits. Through this fundamental study-method improvement program, you can build a solid foundation not only for general conversation but also for English study such as the TOEIC, IELTS and TOEFL exams. Limited enrollment Only 80 students are admitted, the number that the local director can teach and manage in person. This is the greatest advantage, as it means every student receives learning services of equal quality. Class hours adjusted to individual ability Even if you study 4 hours a day, it becomes useful knowledge only when you absorb 100% of it. UBEC adjusts and manages each day's study load through systematic study consultations directly with the director. Proven English instructors CAE (College Academy English) is a type of English proficiency test, like the TOEFL and TOEIC, and is an English proficiency assessment widely adopted by Philippine universities. UBEC officially operates CAE-certified centers in Manila and Cebu, and also has its own teacher selection and training program.
