Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, celebrates the 900th anniversary of its founding in 2025 and is living history itself. Every July and August, the Edinburgh Festival and the Fringe Festival, celebrations for people from all over the world, take place and the whole city buzzes with excitement. Both the Old Town and the New Town are designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites, making the city beautiful throughout. In addition, 20% of the total population are university students, so you can study in a young and vibrant atmosphere. The CES Edinburgh center is located in the West End, one of the most popular areas in Edinburgh, so Princes Street in the city center is only a 10-minute walk away, and with tram and bus stops nearby, getting around is very convenient. Adult classes have a maximum of 14 students per class, and about 8 to 10 in the low season. As it is such a popular city, it attracts a wide range of age groups, so you can meet friends of all ages from around the world, from age 16 to seniors in their 70s. Both homestay and residence accommodation are available. Homestay includes breakfast and dinner, and the residence is available to those aged 18 and over. It is a 15-minute walk from the school. Each room has a private bathroom, and the residence even has a gym and a cinema. Edinburgh is safer and calmer than London, yet a city where you can experience Scotland's unique culture in depth.
