Edmonds Community College

The Intensive English as a Second Language (IESL) program offers English classes to international students. Launched in 1981, the intensive IESL program is now renowned for providing high-quality ESL classes. More than 230 students from over 20 countries around the world study in our English program, preparing for university, building communication skills for daily life, or gaining valuable experience in the United States. The IESL program teaches English to international students. When students arrive at the school, they take a placement test to assess their English ability. There are levels 1 to 5. Students who complete IESL can advance to Edmonds Community College or take high school completion courses. ㆍ About 250 students from around 20 countries are enrolled ㆍ The program suits both students studying English for university admission and those studying English for personal fulfillment. ㆍ Highly qualified, experienced instructors. ㆍ The average class size is only 15 students. ㆍ Consists of 5 levels from beginner to advanced. ㆍ Upper levels include community volunteer activities. ㆍ Computer lab and resource room available. ㆍ New classrooms in the new Mukilteo Hall. ㆍ International student services support students with visas, school applications, housing, orientation, academic counselling and more.
