About the School
Lado International College was founded in 1977. Our school specializes in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and aims to bring students' English skills to the highest level. At Lado, we provide students with preparation for university study and professional careers. Dr. Robert Lado developed a teaching method covering four skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—which offers opportunities for efficient English learning through an organized class schedule. Our goal is to provide students with instruction in accurate English conversation and writing at a much higher level than functional conversational English. Students enrolled in the intensive English program can reach a university-level command of English within one year, and most students earn high scores on the TOEFL test. Lado International College does not require a special visa. It is authorized under federal law to enroll students with an F-1 visa as well as visas other than immigrant visas. In addition, the educational programs offered by Lado International College are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training, and are listed among the American institutions recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. While you study, we help you find accommodation such as a homestay, shared housing, an apartment, or a hotel while living at Lado. Courses offered: Morning Intensive, Evening Intensive, Morning Semi-Intensive, Evening Semi-Intensive, Saturday, Private Tutorials, Afternoon Workshops, Saturday Workshops.
