About the School
NESE is located in Massachusetts, east of New York State, where many prestigious universities are found. The school's intensive English curriculum is designed to help students achieve their individual academic goals as effectively and quickly as possible. All of the instructors hold degrees from leading American universities, including Harvard University, and are dedicated teachers with ample teaching experience, and NESE's advisory board consists entirely of local Harvard University professors. NESE is truly a prestigious private language school, and the quality of its programs and facilities cannot be compared with other language schools. Classes never exceed 10 students, so students receive careful attention from their teachers, and in addition to the general English course, students can choose classes such as TOEFL preparation, Business English, Legal English, pronunciation, and university preparation. NESE provides free services, including counseling on universities and career paths and admission application support, not only for students preparing in English but for all students. Students who complete NESE's top-level course can receive special assistance from the international student office when applying to Northeastern University, one of the major universities in the Boston area. Students who complete NESE's Business English course can enter the one-year master's program at the school of management of Arthur D. Little Inc., a consulting firm located in Boston, without a TOEFL score.
School Features
- Excellent instructors All NESE instructors hold degrees from Harvard University and other prestigious universities, and are capable and highly energetic people selected in consideration of their teaching experience and level. Small-group classes NESE's classes average 6 to 10 students, allowing students to take an active part in discussions and lessons and making individual attention and guidance from teachers possible. Levels and class schedule There are 6 levels, and students are placed in a class of the appropriate level after an English proficiency assessment. Each class receives intensive language instruction from Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Start dates NESE starts its 8-week intensive English course 6 times a year, and 4-week courses start at the beginning of every month. Elective courses available In addition to general English, students can take electives such as TOEFL preparation, Business English, computer training, and university preparation. Students can also join free club activities such as the culture club, movie club, advanced conversation club, and dinner club. (An elective is offered only if at least 5 students apply.) Report cards and certificates At the end of each course, students receive a report card evaluating their English proficiency and academic performance during the course, along with a certificate of attendance. Students who successfully complete NESE's highest level also receive a NESE certificate of completion. Differentiated programs NESE's intensive English curriculum is specially designed to help students reach their academic goals as quickly as possible. In addition to the intensive course, there is a TOEFL preparation class, and NESE holds a TOEFL mock test every month. To help students enter American universities, NESE also provides a variety of educational counseling materials and university admission counseling services. It also helps students obtain conditional admission from nearby universities without a TOEFL score. Free dormitory and homestay referral Dormitory or American homestay applications are available year-round. Unlike other schools, there is no accommodation application fee. Arrangements are made in advance so that students can go straight from the airport to their accommodation and unpack. Health club membership NESE students can use one of the most refined and luxurious health clubs in Boston. Located in the heart of Harvard Square, 5 minutes from NESE, the health club offers aerobics courses and gives students the opportunity to use fitness equipment for strength training, a swimming pool, a spa, a sauna, and more. An additional membership fee is required to receive these services.

NESE is located in Harvard Square in the city of Cambridge, right next to Harvard University and only minutes from the Charles River. Harvard Square is the center of academic activity and is also the most dynamic and interesting hub for American students. "The Square" has become a place that meets students' needs and also serves as their place of rest, thanks to its abundance of coffee shops, restaurants, bookstores, and other shops. Not far from there are also university lecture halls, cinemas showing classic and contemporary films, theaters and concert halls, and a variety of music that fills the streets and woods.
