About the School
One of the oldest universities in the United States, it upholds Jesuit education and traditional philosophy. It is a lively urban campus located in an arts and entertainment district. Ranked 96th in the U.S. and in the top 2% of universities, it has 19 master's programs ranked within the top 100. As the first flight school to receive U.S. federal approval, it offers a Flight Science program for those who wish to become airline pilots.
School Features
- As a center affiliated with the university, it allows international students to enter through the Pathway program. It requires lower grades and English scores than direct admission, and courses taken in the Pathway program can earn credit. The Pathway includes classes to improve the English skills needed for degree programs, and students receive comprehensive support not only for their studies but also for adjusting to American university life. English-related classes are taken with INTO SLU students, while other subjects are taken together with American students; students can use school facilities such as the library and gym and take part in student activities. The Academic English program is designed to improve the English skills needed for a degree program before entering the Pathway or a regular program; students without an official English score can start with Academic English + Pathway.

Facilities
The INTO SLU center is located on the SLU campus. Depending on their Pathway major, students take classes in other buildings on the SLU campus. School facilities, including the library and gym, are available for use.
Activities
As a school that upholds Jesuit education and traditional philosophy, it carries out a wide range of local volunteer activities, and more than 80% of students take part in volunteer work at least once a year. Through volunteering, students can experience the local community and American culture up close, and build confidence, leadership and a sense of social responsibility.
