The English Language Center (ELC) has helped Central Missouri achieve its international goals since 1992. The Intensive English Program (IEP) offers intensive full-time English classes. The program consists of a college-preparation curriculum covering reading, writing, grammar, conversation, test preparation, and American culture. For qualified students, it provides the opportunity to study English for academic purposes while also taking undergraduate-level, credit-bearing university courses. * IEP @UCM is open to all students, as follows. . Those who have never taken the TOEFL . Those who have taken the TOEFL but want to raise their score . Those who have been admitted to a university and want to earn an undergraduate or graduate degree . Those who want to improve their English for work or for a smooth social life * Benefits and opportunities for IEP @UCM students . You can receive all the benefits and services of degree-seeking students and enter the university. . After successfully completing high-level classes in the IEP, you can begin undergraduate studies. You can enter the university without a TOEFL score report. . You can study in the safe, friendly, and quiet Midwest. . It is less than 1 hour from the Kansas City metropolitan area. . You are taught by highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated ESL instructors. . You can choose between a dormitory or an apartment. . Four 8-week sessions per year . ESL teachers with experience living abroad . English proficiency placement test . State-of-the-art computer facilities .
