About the School
The University of Dayton is a Catholic comprehensive private university founded in 1850 and the second-largest private university in Ohio. Its colleges of arts and sciences, business, education, engineering, law, and more offer around 80 bachelor's degree programs and around 20 master's degree programs, and it was the first university in the United States to offer a major in Human Rights Studies. The University of Dayton has been ranked No. 1 among Catholic universities in the U.S. for engineering research funding, receiving more than $1.17 million in research support. It also continually develops partnerships with forward-looking companies, and with GE Aviation and Emerson research facilities located next to the campus, it offers opportunities to take part in research alongside experts.
