Students may apply for provisional admission to Memorial at the same time as they apply for this program. Successful completion of the Intensive English Program together with an acceptable score on the test of English language proficiency given at the end of the program may allow students to finalize their admission to a university program. The 25 hours per week program includes 15 hours of classes in reading, writing, and listening, and 10 hours of speaking including presentations skills, special interest seminars on culture, literature, or business, pronunciation or conversation tutorials, and practice in our language lab. Students in the Intensive English Program at Memorial University will benefit from the excellent library and computer services on campus.
