불어와 영어가 공식어로 함께 쓰이고 있는 캐나다의 수도 오타와에 위치한 오타와 대학은 1848년 설립되어 오랜 역사를 자랑합니다. 영어 뿐만 아니라 불어도 배울 수 있는 어학 교육과정은 대학 입학을 위한 EAP, EBP 및 전문적인 어학연수 과정이 마련되어 있습니다. 각 과정에서는 어학과 동시에 캐나다의 문화나 북미의 문화를 체험할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 즐길 수 있습니다. EAP는 주 21시간의 수업으로 한 학기가 6, 8, 12주 과정이 있으며 초급에서 고급과정까지 있습니다. 각 과정 수료 후 수료증을 받게 된고 오타와 대학에서 주목할 만한 것은 어학코스를 듣는 학생들을 위해 별도의 수업료 없이 추가 프로그램들을 제공하고 있다는 것입니다. 컴퓨터, VCR과 오디오 부스를 이용하여 어학능력향상을 꾀할 수 있고, 대학 입학을 목적으로 영어연수를 받는 학생들은 무료로 TOEFL 테스트를 받을 수 있습니다. 기숙사는 봄, 여름학기에만 사용이 가능하며 학교에서는 기숙사 이외의 숙박은 정보를 제공할 뿐 알선해 주고 있지 않으므로, 숙소 문제는 각자 해결해야 합니다.

English Intensive Program (EIP) Course Goals During each of the four sessions, our English Intensive Program courses focus on communication and study skills in an academic environment, language for specific purposes, cultural awareness and social interaction. Course Content

ㆍWeekly Timetable
ㆍAll English Intensive Program students will receive 21 hours of instruction per week. Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Monday to Thursday: 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The afternoon schedule may vary. Social activities are generally scheduled in the afternoon. Initial Assessment and Placement At the beginning of each session you attend, you will be evaluated to determine your level and class placement. Certificate After successfully completing a course, you will receive a certificate indicating the level of second language proficiency attained. Intensive courses are not for credit.
