At Britannia College we prepare students for the IELTS test. We can do this for individuals at any time of year. You can take a General English morning course to upgrade your English skills and then take a private IELTS course in the afternoon to learn how to reach the grade you need for this exam. Alternatively you can take a full day course. Depending on your level and whether you have already worked on IELTS preparation, we recommend that your course should be a minimum of 4 weeks. Self-study assignments will also be set and these are essential to achieve a successful outcome. IELTS preparation course is the same as the 1-to-1. 10% discount on courses of 8+ weeks!

Britannia college runs 12-week courses for Cambridge First Certificate in English and Advanced English 3 times a year in preparation for the exams held in March, June and December. The courses consist of morning lessons from 09:00 to 12:30 daily and 3 timed self-study monitored afternoon sessions will also be held to practice writing, grammar and reading comprehension skills. Further self-study assignments will also be set and these are essential to achieve a successful outcome.

These courses, ending with the student sitting for an exam are designed for different levels of language ability. - Small groups, maximum 4 students per class in a small school for adults - Highly qualified mature tutors, native English speakers with actual business experience and business English qualifications. - Topics of business interest to foster fluency and understanding of authentic texts. Depending on the length of the course, topics will be covered according to a consensus between the group and at the discretion of the tutor depending on existing language skills. - Improving written English for reports and correspondence. - Skills for presentations, meetings and interaction with business colleagues of other nationalities. Visits to local companies and factories in Valletta and Malta can be arranged upon request. - Personal attention – social interaction during a business lunch with tutor – business newspapers – €65 registration fee includes all this as well as business textbook and stationery.
