Our General English group courses will help you develop the skills you need to communicate in English with confidence. By listening to your needs, we tailor our courses to fulfil your requirements so that what you learn is immediately useful for your future and exactly what you need to improve your English. COURSE OPTIONS There are two course options: 4 hours tuition per day (09.00 - 13.00, including breaks) 7 hours tuition per day (09.00 - 13.00 & 14.00 - 17.00, including breaks) You can choose which is best suited for your needs. We recommend an initial period of One-to-One tuition for learners who are complete beginners in English. MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY It is easy to combine morning Intensive General English classes with a range of different afternoon options. If you wish to make maximum use of your time at Anglolang, we can offer you One-To-One tuition. English Plus Golf is also a popular choice for golf players with a handicap and beginners. SMALL CLASSES There is a maximum of 8 students per class, which enables the teacher to cater for learners' individual needs. During the summer months we run an exciting Summer Vacation Course in which classes are larger with approximately 12 students in the morning groups (max. 15 and max. 8 students in the afternoon groups). COURSE CONTENT Classes are usually based around a number of topics, which can be introduced according to your wishes. Within this topic-based approach to learning, you will develop the language and skills areas which interest you most.
Intensive English and IELTS Anglolang's Intensive English and IELTS Course prepares students for success in the IELTS test. Cambridge Examinations Students can choose to prepare for the First Certificate in English, the Certificate of Advanced English or the Certificate of Proficiency in English. Because Anglolang is a Cambridge examination centre, the examinations can be taken at the school. GMAT & TOEFL Anglolang has substantial experience in preparing MBA students for the GMAT and TOEFL tests. We also offer expert guidance with the MBA application process, from essay writing to letters of recommendation. TOEIC Anglolang is the oldest TOEIC test centre in the north of England. We have lots of TOEIC teaching experience and our students get excellent TOEIC.
In co-operation with Scarborough's first-class golf clubs, Anglolang offers you the opportunity to improve your English in the morning and play or learn golf in the afternoon. Included in the programme is 4 hours' English tuition per day, either as Group Tuition or Private Tuition plus time on first-class golf courses or professional golf coaching. Scarborough has two first-class golf courses, and there are several others on the outskirts, including the famous Ganton championship course. * THE EXPERIENCED GOLFER For the golfer with an official handicap, the price of the course includes: 4 hours' intensive English Language tuition (One-To-One or Intensive General English) 5 green fees (which can be exchanged for private coaching sessions) unlimited playing time on the course transport to the golf course hire of equipment if necessary * THE BEGINNER For the golfer without an official handicap, instead of the five green fees, we can offer a combination of coaching with a golf professional plus practice. Each three hour session consists of 60 minutes of intensive coaching plus the opportunity to practise what you have learnt. Golf equipment is provided. * EXCURSIONS If you are interested in taking part in optional excursions to major golf tournaments in Great Britain during your stay in Scarborough, please contact us for further details of this service.
