General English Courses

ㆍDesigned to help you improve your general ability to communicate in English

ㆍEach lesson is of 60 minutes or 90 minutes duration

ㆍCombine with one-to-one lessons

ㆍ5 levels from Elementary to Advanced

ㆍWritten and spoken test on your first day to assess your level of English and to place you in a class appropriate for you.

ㆍEnd-of-course certificate on the last day of your course.

ㆍ25 hours per week, 5 hours per day. 09.00 – 16.00

ㆍA full day programme focusing on grammar, speaking, listening, reading and vocabulary development giving you the opportunity to improve your all-round English ability. 2) Standard (code GES)

ㆍ17.5 hours per week, 3.5 hours per day. 09.00 – 13.00 OR 12.00 – 16.00

ㆍChoose either the morning course to concentrate more on developing grammar and vocabulary OR the afternoon courses to focus on listening and speaking. Both time blocks include a lesson with an emphasis on modern communication skills. 3) Semi-Intensive (code GESI)

ㆍChoose either the morning course to improve grammatical accuracy and vocabulary development OR the afternoon course for oral fluency and listening practice.

English for Business

ㆍDesigned for people working in a business environment or studying a business-related subject

ㆍMaximum 12 students per class

ㆍEach lesson is of 60 minutes or 90 minutes duration

ㆍMinimum level – good Intermediate

ㆍCombine with one-to-one lessons

ㆍA written and spoken test plus a needs analysis to ensure your requirements are met

ㆍ25 hours per week – 5 hours per day. 09.00 – 16.00

ㆍThe morning lessons concentrate on developing your general English ability and the second part of the day focuses on the language and skills needed in a business context. Semi-Intensive (code BESI)

ㆍ12.5 hours per week – 2.5 hours per day. 09.00 – 11.45 OR 13.15 – 16.00

ㆍAn afternoon course which focuses only on English for Business

• Maximum 12 students per class • Minimum age 16 • Each lesson is of 60 minutes or 90 minutes duration • Minimum level – IELTS and First Certificate – Intermediate, Cambridge Advanced – Upper Intermediate • Combine with one-to-one lessons • Enrolment on exam in London (exam fee extra) • Regular practise in all areas of the examination • TOEFL and TOEIC preparation takes place in one-to-one lessons enabling you to focus on the exam of your choice. Quatorial lessons can be offered at our Executive Centre also. IELTS IELTS is the exam designed for students wishing to study at a British or Australian university and can be taken at a testing centre in London every week but you must book the exam in advance. This course begins every Monday throughout the year and the exams take place in London twice a month on Saturdays. Cambridge First Certificate & Cambridge Advanced Certificate Semi Intensive 12.5, Intensive 25 The Cambridge exams are internationally recognised and provide employers and some academic institutions with a clear notion of your level of English. A semi-intensive course will prepare you for the exam looking a exam skills (i.e. skimming and scanning a text for details), past papers and vocabulary expansion. An intensive course will include the morning exam preparation and during the afternoon you will concentrate on improving your general English knowledge, in particular speaking and listening skills.
