Full-time courses include: • 15 hour per week General English Language course, with an additional 4.5 hours of self access sessions where you will have the opportunity to receive help with your individual language learning needs. • 25 hour per week English Plus course. For example: English Plus Art & Design, or a custom-made course.

This one-year course is for international students with 12 years of secondary education and the required standards of English language, preparing them for entry onto their chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Bath. Students who achieve the necessary grades during the International Foundation Year are guaranteed automatic progression onto Year 1 of their degree at the University of Bath. There is no UCAS application required for this course, which means that the application process is easy and fast. The International Foundation Year is a modular course starting in September each year, and is divided into two 15-week semesters. The course will prepare students for study in a university environment and will ensure that they have the necessary skills to make a smooth transition to higher education in the UK. The course includes study skills, lectures, tutorials and laboratory work if appropriate. Students choose three subjects from the following list to study. The College will help and guide students so that they choose the right three subjects to meet the requirements of their chosen degree: • Biology • Business • Chemistry • Economics • English for Academic Purposes • Mathematics • Physics • Social Science The course is run at four colleges, all accredited by the University of Bath and all chosen for their excellent teaching and support for international students.
