The Exeter Academy는 1978년에 설립된 학교로 커다란 정원을 가진 빅토리안식 빌딩에 위치합니다. 시티센터와 엣스터 대학과 가까운 거리에 위치하여 편리하고 학교 근처의 해변가로 건너 보이는 Dartmoor National Park의 장관은 매우 아름답습니다. 대도시의 소음과 공해로부터 벗어나 여유로운 삶을 즐기면서 공부하기 원하는 학생들에게 최적의 학교가 될 것입니다. 최대 60명, 평균 40명의 학생이 공부하고 있는 소규모의 학교는 단지 성인을 위한 프로그램만을 제공하고 있고 다양한 국적의 학생들이 국제적인 분위기를 자아내고 있습니다. The Exeter Academy는 ARELS와 the Association of Recognised English Language Services in Britai회원교이자 British Council에 의해 인증받은 학교입니다.

General English Our General English courses are highly regarded for their effectiveness, excellent teaching, flexibility and our unique Multi-level system. The courses are situated at a quiet and contemporary English School in Devon, UK – the perfect place to meet and mix with a variety of cultures. Learning English in the UK means you are surrounded by the English Culture and all that you experience will help to retain the English language even more. Students can be placed at different levels for each of the sessions ie Grammar / Reading, Writing, Vocabulary / Speaking and listening, depending on their ability. General courses are 21 hours (60 minutes per hour) per week, leaving plenty of time to socialise and mix with other English students. On average there are 8 students per class, maximum of 12. Classes are mixed nationality – usually 12-15 different nationalities in school at one time. You can begin on any Monday. Our General English Course Facts

ㆍAn equal focus on each language skill means development in all areas.
ㆍMulti-level system means you are always in the right level for each skill.
ㆍLong-term students can have ‘study holidays’ (by pre-arrangement only).
ㆍThere is homework in all English skills.
ㆍYou have free access to the self-study centre, school library, and school wi-fi internet service.
ㆍYour progress is regularly checked and you can discuss your course with your teachers or the Principal.
ㆍYou receive a certificate at the end of your General English Course.
Exam Preparation Exeter Academy has a very good record in preparing students for both IELTS and the Cambridge FCE and CAE exams. Our teaching staff are dedicated to your success and as a result we have a high pass rate. Exeter Academy offers preparation for: IELTS, CAE, FCE Plus PET, KET, TOEIC, TOEFL & BEC on demand. • Exam students have General English Group lessons - 21 hours per week . • IELTS & FCE students have 3 hours per week EXTRA (FREE) dedicated exam preparation lessons - please contact for more information • English Exam courses are open and students can join at any time, and for any length of time. • Dynamic teaching team, with tuition from 3 highly motivated and experienced teachers in different skills lessons. • Help given with exam entry forms and payment • Extra one-to-one lessons can be added if a more intensive course is needed.
Combination Course Our combination courses provide the extra flexibility that Exeter Academy is known for. Combination courses include group lessons and one-to-one lessons. They are perfect for supplementing your General English course if you want/need to: • Have a more intensive English course. • Focus on specific areas of the English language e.g. skills work, pronunciation, fluency, grammar or vocabulary etc. • Study specific topic areas e.g. English for business, Academic English, English for specific purposes e.g. Military, Medical, Literature etc. Hobbies and Interests. • Get one-to-one feedback on your skills, error correction, writing style, pronunciation etc. • Get extra help with certain grammar topics that you couldn’t cover in your group courses or that you aren’t clear about. • Study for exams that are not included in our General English programme e.g. TOEFL, TOEIC, BEC etc. • Practise English in ‘real situations’ by going out with your one-to-one teacher and practising through real-life activities and situations e.g. in the bank, shopping, socialising, getting information, asking for help, listening to natural English etc. You have the same teacher for all your one-to-one lessons wherever possible. You can choose different types of course in different weeks e.g. Week 1 C1 Combination course, Week 2 C1 Combination course, Week 3 General English course. You can begin on any Monday you choose. You can choose any course length – from 1 week to 1 year!
