General English The General English course is for all levels and helps you to improve in all areas of English. You will learn new grammar and vocabulary as well as revising what you already know. There is extensive practice of all skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, with a strong emphasis on speaking fluently and with clear pronunciation. This will enable you to communicate effectively and with confidence. Your teacher will help you to become more accurate by correcting your spoken and written errors. You will have plenty of opportunity to practise and consolidate your English in class. You will work in pairs and groups, as well as with the whole class, as this gives the maximum time for oral practice. At the end of each week, you will revise what you have learnt and there is a progress test every month, followed by a face-to-face meeting with your teacher, to give you feedback and advice for future studies. The syllabus for your lessons is based on your coursebook, but your teacher will also use lots of other materials, including suggestions from students, to ensure that the content of the class is useful and interesting. Lessons are student centred and you are expected to participate as much as possible, so that you progress quickly. Your teacher is there to guide and support you with your learning. Fast Track English Improve your English fast in this mini-group class to maximise individual attention from the teacher, who will tailor the lessons to the needs of the group. Weekly one-to-one lesson also ensures specific needs are met. An intensive programme for students in a small class, taught by one of our more experienced teachers. Lessons focus on the individual needs of the group so you learn faster. You will be encouraged to participate as much as possible so you will progress quickly. Key Facts

Exam Courses Malvern House has for many years successfully prepared students for a range of English language exams. Our experienced teachers and academics ensure that students are well prepared to take a wide range of globally recognised English language qualifications. The courses take place at our Bloomsbury Centre, and students who book long term General English courses are welcome to move into these courses once they reach the required level of English.* Typically students who take these courses are interested in:

Business English English is the language of international business and this course will equip you to participate fully in the global arena. Using our innovative, project-based course you will develop and practise your business English skills with hands-on experience in realistic simulations.
