This course is for you, if: ◦• you want to apply to study at a British university ◦• you want to achieve a British graduate or post-graduate qualification ◦• you want to increase your English skills and abilities About the Course The English for University course aims to prepare you to study in an English-speaking university. You will gain a better understanding of the English-speaking academic environment, e.g. how courses are taught (lectures, seminars, tutorials), how work is assessed (essays, theses, examinations, etc) As well as studying IELTS, which builds your English study skills, you will also study English for Academic Purposes to develop your graduate-level English skills and prepare you for your university course.

As well as plenty of opportunities to practise for the test, you will be given information and tips to help you, such as: ◦• How to approach the tasks / questions ◦• What the examiners are looking for ◦• What to do (& what not to do!) ◦• How to prepare for the writing tasks ◦• How to manage your time in the exam ◦• Examples of good and bad answers You will also learn more about the English language during the course so your vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency and grammar will improve as well.
