Westbourne Academy is situated in an enviable position just one kilometer from the sandy beaches of Bournemouth, yet only 500 metres from the varied and interesting shopping centre of Westbourne. In this suburb you will find banks, a post office, international restaurants, classic English pubs and a variety of retail outlets to satisfy every taste. Bournemouth town centre is 1.5 kilometers to the east and Poole 3 kilometers to the west. These towns are world famous as international resorts and sailing centres and yet a serious attitude to study prevails with the Bournemouth University and Bournemouth and Poole College of further education catering for over 30,000 English students. Bournemouth has been the host town for students of English as a foreign language for more than 50 years and has therefore developed an infrastructure of good family accommodation, quality language schools and first class recreational and cultural facilities.
