ALPS Language School History: ALPS Language School was founded in 1992 to provide students the maximum contact with the English language and American culture. The school has developed an excellent reputation over the years. Mission Statement: Through a highly motivated staff to provide speakers of other languages with instruction in English in balanced programs that meet their individual needs in learning English; and to give students the opportunities for maximal contact with the English language and American culture. Staff: We owe our reputation to the dedicated professionals who work here. Our teachers are known for being capable friendly professionals who understand the needs of each individual student. Student Services: Everybody who knows ALPS Language School knows that we take care of our students as if they were family. It shows in our small class size, our excellent activity program that allows us to share our beautiful city and state with each student, the care we take in advising each student about their academic and personal needs in the USA. English Only Policy: We want everybody to practice English as much as possible. ALL students are required to speak English at all times at ALPS Language School. Accreditation: ALPS Language School's courses are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training. ACCET is listed by the U. S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

Intensive English Programs [Intensive Speaking Option A]

ㆍ4 Periods Daily If you need to understand and use spoken English, this is the best option for you. In your 2-period Core Speaking and Listening Class you improve your general abilities in English. You choose 1 elective class which is suited to your needs: either a speaking elective, a test preparation elective or an academic elective class. You also have 1 private class elective so you can have intensive practice in the areas of English most important to you. [General Intensive Option]
ㆍGroup Class Only
ㆍ4 Periods Daily If you want to improve your general level of English with a focus on speaking and listening but you don't want a private class, this option is for you. . In your 2-period Core Speaking and Listening Class you improve your general abilities in English. You choose 2 elective classes which are suited to your needs: choose a speaking elective, a test preparation elective or academic elective class. You choose your elective classes according to your own needs.
Super Intensive Programs

ㆍ6 Periods Daily If you need to prepare for College, University or Master's level courses, this is the best program for you. Add 2 periods of intensive academic preparation electives to the General Intensive Program Curriculum. These academic electives provide the intensive practice in reading and writing that are necessary for success in the American academic experience. In your 2-period Core Speaking and Listening Class you also improve your general abilities in English. You choose 2 more elective classes which are suited to your needs: choose a speaking elective, a test preparation elective or more academic elective classes. [Intensive Speaking Option B]
ㆍGroup & Private
ㆍ5 Periods Daily If you need to understand and use spoken English, and you want a more intensive option, add 1 more period of private class elective to Option A. Then you have 2 periods of private class elective daily. This option also includes 2 periods of Speaking and Listening Class and 1 period of the Elective group class of your choice. [Intensive Speaking Option C]
ㆍPrivate Class Only
ㆍ4 Periods daily If you have limited time in the USA to study, consider private classes for 4 periods daily. You will follow an individualized curriculum of the Intensive Speaking Option.
