Intensive English Program The English Language Institute offers an opportunity to all international students who have completed high school and meet admission requirements to learn English. Classes are held at the Daytona Beach campus all year-round. Language programs consist of intensive English preparation for university studies. All students are pre-tested and placed in one of our four levels of study - beginning through advanced - to meet their language learning needs. Classes provide intensive instruction for communication in reading, writing, grammar, speaking, and listening. Advisement and preparation for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) are also offered as well as Aviation English courses. Each course participant will acquire academic writing skills and vocabulary; demonstrate the ability to use English in an academic environment; show an improved fluency in English through interview and test results; show increased speaking ability in English; and become familiar with techniques for the continuing acquisition of English.

Daytona Beach has something for everyone -- the adventure of a city and the warmth, charm, and friendly atmosphere of a small town. One of Florida's primary tourist destinations, Daytona Beach is located on the central east coast of Florida and is known as the World's Most Famous Beach. The area's many lakes and rivers along with the ocean offer an endless variety of recreational activities, such as freshwater and saltwater fishing, sport fishing tournaments, sailing, surfing, snorkeling, and swimming. During the winter, you can always head for one of the nearby springs, where temperatures remain in the low 70s all year round. Swimmers and snorkelers can spend their time shoulder-to-shoulder with the bluegills, the tilapia, and the manatees that swim up the St. Johns River every winter. The springs, which are fed with a flow of millions of gallons of water a day, also offer some of the best inner tubing in the area.
