ESLI는 대학진학 영어(Academic English for University Entrance)와 일반 회화반(Communication Skills)프로그램, SAY 프로그램을 제공하고 있으며, 한반 평균명수는 10-12명입니다. 레벨수는 3개, 월-금요일까지 하루 5시간씩 주당 25시간 수업입니다. ESLI 대학교들은 자격을 갖춘 학생들을 대상으로 대학 및 대학원 학위과정에 대한 조건부입학을 허가하고 있습니다. ESLI 영어과정을 이수한 학생들은 TOEFL, GRE, GMAT 없이 본 과정에 입학합니다. ESLI에서는 학생들이 입학하면 필기시험과 면접들을 통하여 영어 실력을 평가하고 그 결과에 따라 적절한 학급에 배정하고 있습니다. 초급반부터 고급반까지의 다양한 수준별 학급운영을 통하여 학생들이 적절한 수준에서 영어교육을 받게 함으로써 조속히 원하는 영어수준에 도달할 수 있도록 하고 있습니다. 처음 입학하게 되면 ESLI의 따뜻한 환영을 받게 됩니다. 신입생들은 ESLI 및 대학교, 지역사회에 즉시 적응할 수 있도록 특별한 입학오리엔테이션을 받습니다. 학생들은 교직원 인솔하에 은행구좌를 개설하며, 학생증을 발급받고, 문화에 대한 교육을 받은 뒤 간단한 캠퍼스 및 지역 사회 견학을 하게 됩니다. 공항에 도착하면 ESLI의 직원이나 홈스테이집 가족 등이 마중하여 캠퍼스나 홈스테이가정으로 데려갈 것입니다. 항공일정이 확정되는 대로 가능한 빨리 일정을 통보해 주기 바랍니다. ESLI 제휴 대학교들로부터 조건부 입학허가를 받은 학생들은 ESLI과정을 이수한 후 곧장 대학으로 입학하고 있습니다. 타 대학교들에 입학하고자 하는 학생들도 ESLI로부터 무료로 입학수속서비스를 받을 수 있습니다. 학생이 충분한 입학자격조건을 갖추었으며 입학지원 마감시기가 지나지만 않았다면 캐나다나 미국의 칼리지나 종합대학에의 입학을 보장해 드립니다. ESLI에서는 사교행사, 여가활동, 일일여행 및 소풍 등과 같은 다양한 과외활동 프로그램들을 운영하고 있습니다. 과외활동의 전형적인 예를 들어보면 드라마 제작, 뮤지컬, 농구와 축구 등의 스포츠 활동, 캠핑, 하이킹, 스키, 승마, 카누타기, 공원 및 역사유적지 탐방 같은 것들입니다. 어느 누구든 ESLI에 입학하게 되면 대학교의 본과 재학생과 동일한 특전과 서비스를 누리게 됩니다. 대학 학생증 발급, 의료서비스, 여가활동시설, 도서관, 컴퓨터실 이용, 각종 대학 주최 행사참여 등 대학재학생과 동일한 권리를 향유하게 됩니다. ESLI 또는 대학교의 컴퓨터실은 영어를 향상시킬 수 있는 기회를 제공함으로써 학생들의 학업 및 직업에 관련된 목표를 달성할 수 있도록 도와주고 있습니다. 학생들은 영어학습 목적으로 컴퓨터를 이용하고 있을 뿐 아니라 워드프로세싱, e-mail, 인터넷을 이용할 수도 있고 기타 용도로도 자유로이 컴퓨터를 활용할 수 있습니다. 소정의 영어교육 과정을 마치게 되면 졸업과 그 동안의 영어능력 성취를 축하하는 수료증을 받게됩니다. 졸업식과 수료증 수여식은 각 학기말에 거행됩니다. 여러분은 대학교 캠퍼스내의 ESLI에서 영어를 배우고 대학교의 일원이 됨으로서 많은 혜택과 이점들을 누릴 수 있습니다. 학생은 미국, 캐나다 학생들뿐 만 아니라 세계 각지로부터의 유학온 외국 학생들을 친구로 사귈 수 있습니다. ESLI학생으로서 대학의 모든 시설을 이용할 수 있고 대학에서 주최하는 모든 행사에 자유로이 참가할 수 있습니다. 교내 스포츠 행사나 문화행사에 참여할 수 있으며, 레크레이션 시설들도 이용할 수 있습니다. 도서관, 컴퓨터실, 학생회관, 학생식당 및 기숙사, 대학밖의 극장, 레스토랑 및 쇼핑 센터 등도 자유로이 이용하시기 바랍니다.

ㆍSummer and winter study tours for groups Curriculum The ESLI curriculum is focused on the needs and goals of each student. Our highly qualified teachers care about the progress and aspirations of their students. Individual attention and professional staff are an ESLI trademark. Our students have the opportunity to live on campus, study English, and use the facilities of the university. ESLI students are immersed in an English speaking environment classrooms, in housing accommodations, and during field trips and school activities. Students learn, practice and use English in real and practical ways that are functional and life changing. The curriculum, divided into as many as 5 levels, targets the students' ability and motivates the students to progress in their language acquisition as quickly as possible. In a typical day, students participate in five hours of classroom instruction and computer laboratories for a total of 25 hours per week. Methods
ㆍListening: Using a variety of sources, students learn effective listening skills that they can implement both inside and outside the classroom.
ㆍSpeaking / Pronunciation: Students gain confidence speaking in a variety of situations: casual conversations, formal dialogue, class presentations, etc.
ㆍReading: Through in class reading exercises and a personalized reading program, students learn to read for pleasure and for university studies.
ㆍComposition: Through guided practice, students learn how to research, organize, and draft a research paper. Confidence in self and peer evaluation is encouraged, as it is equally important to a successful university experience.
ㆍVocabulary: Students develop a vocabulary base appropriate for everyday conversations and classroom situations. In addition, they learn methods for long-term building and retaining functional vocabulary.
ㆍGrammar: Students are encouraged to learn grammar through use. Grammar instruction is provided within the context of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

The fourth largest city in Minnesota, Duluth had a total population of 86,265 in the 2010 census. Duluth is the second largest city on Lake Superior after Thunder Bay, Ontario, and has the largest metropolitan area on Lake Superior. The Duluth MSA had a population of 279,771 in 2010. Situated at the westernmost point of the Great Lakes on the north shore of Lake Superior, Duluth is accessible to ocean-going vessels from the Atlantic Ocean 2,300 miles (3,700 km) away via the Great Lakes and the Saint Lawrence Seaway.
