English as a Second Language courses are offered at four OCC campuses: Royal Oak, Southfield, Auburn Hills and Farmington Hills (Orchard Ridge). These courses help prepare students to be successful in other academic courses. We offer four levels of combined writing/reading courses, four levels of combined grammar/listening courses, and two levels of speaking courses. These are credit courses that follow the semester plan. In addition, two campuses also offer a lower level, non-credit course called the Bridge Class for students who are not ready for the lowest level of our credit program.
