오렌지 코스트 컬리지의 영어과정 (IEC@OCC) 은 집중 영어 및 학업 준비 과정을 제공하고 있습니다. 영어과정을 성공적으로 마치면 OCC 로 진학이 되는 조건부 입학이 제공됩니다. 6단계로 구성되며, Foundation, Intermediate A, B, C, Advanced A, B 단계로 이루어져 있습니다. 연중 6개의 세션이 있으며, 각 세션은 8주동안 진행됩니다. 학급당 최대 15명 수업으로 개인적인 관심에 집중하여 보살핌을 받을 수 있으며, 모두 TESL 석사 학위를 소지하고 경험이 풍부한 교사진에게 양질의 수업을 받을 수 있습니다. 또한, 동일한 목적을 가진 학생들로 구성되어 학업에 충실하여 수업 분위기가 좋습니다. IEC 학생들은 OCC의 도서관, 컴퓨터 랩실 사용이 가능하고 학업에 필요한 자료를 얻을 수 있습니다. 또한, 자원봉사활동이나 커뮤니티 서비스를 포함하여 다양한 활동에 참여해 볼 수 있습니다. ?뿐만 아니라 영어연수 후 OCC 진학 및 4년제 명문 대학 편입에 관한 학업적인 조언을 구할 수 있습니다.

In Step One of IEC’s 1-2-3 Program, students attend English classes through IEC’s intensive English (often called the “English for Academic Purposes”) program. IEC’s intensive English courses are specifically designed for students who plan to transfer to an American college or university; therefore, classes are focused on helping students master the academic and English skills necessary to succeed in the American university classroom. IEC’s English curriculum includes specific focus on writing research papers, preparing and giving presentations, and understanding lectures. After completing IEC’s courses, students enter Step Two of IEC’s 1-2-3 Program by transferring to one of IEC’s two partner community colleges, Diablo Valley College or Orange Coast College. . IEC’s Intensive English Program is organized into six levels: students are placed in a level after orientation and complete one level every two months. . All IEC teachers are fully qualified and experienced language teachers who are dedicated to helping their students learn English. . Classes are held year round. . Please note: Unfortunately IEC does not offer courses for true beginners of English language learning. Prospective IEC students should have basic spelling skills, be able to write sentences, and be able to read and understand simple paragraphs. While students without these skills can still attend IEC, they should be prepared to hire a personal tutor and repeat the foundation level class until these skills are mastered.
IEC 는 OCC 캠퍼스 중앙에 위치하여 학교 어디든 쉽게 접근할 수 있으며, 수업이 끝나면 근교 다양한 명소를 방문해 볼 수 있습니다.
OCC has more than 60 student clubs and organizations that are open to all registered students. These clubs sponsor social events, special activities, speakers and fundraising and community service events. Many clubs are academically oriented, such as, Radiology, Film, Architecture, and Business while others are special interest clubs such as Amnesty and Repertory Theatre. Some culture-specific clubs include the Muslim Student Association, Vietnamese Student Association, Film Club, Inter-Cultural Club and many others.
