학교 소개
Pierce College's International Education program offers four distinct programs. All courses are taught by dedicated, skilled faculty. All have master's degrees in their fields, and many have doctorates. Class sizes are small (typically 15-20 students), allowing instructors to give individual attention to each student.
ㆍ Intensive English Program. Learn English language skills you can use for further study, a career, or to achieve personal goals.
ㆍ University Transfer Program. Complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree at Pierce College; courses are equivalent to those offered at top universities, but at a fraction of the cost. Pierce College students transfer to top universities throughout the United States.
ㆍ Professional/Technical Program. Students can earn certificates and degrees in a wide variety of fields. Students can select from a number of high-demand career fields and be ready to work in six months to two years, depending on the program.
ㆍ High School Completion. This "fast track" program enables international students to earn a Washington state high school diploma and credits toward a bachelor's degree at the same time.

Intensive English
Intensive English Pierce College's Intensive English Program provides an excellent way to learn English quickly. It is a first-rate program with dedicated, qualified, and dynamic instructors who love teaching international students. In fact, most instructors and staff have lived and worked overseas themselves and speak Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, Spanish, German, and more! Full-time IEP students study English for 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The program is divided into four levels of instruction, from beginner to advanced. Classes are offered in grammar, writing, reading, listening and speaking. The sessions run for 10 weeks, but students may register for fewer weeks. (Students who do not enroll in a full session will have their tuition and fees pro-rated.) *How long a student spends in the program depends on a number of factors, including: -How much English they knew when they started. -Their goals. -How much effort they put into their studies. -Participation in extracurricular activities, such as theatre or International Club. -Whether they live alone, with an American family, or with friends from their country. Many students need just one quarter in the IEP before they are ready to enter regular college classes. However, some may need three to six quarters to complete the program, depending on the above variables and other factors.

캠퍼스는 Tacoma시로부터는 남쪽으로 15km, 시애틀에서는 남쪽으로 6km 쯤 떨어져 있으며 안전하고 건전한 주위환경을 갖추고 있는 조용한 주택가에 위치. 워싱톤 주는 소나무가 울창해서 '상록수 주'로 알려져 있는 지역으로, 대학 캠퍼스 또한 이러한 자연의 아름다움으로 둘러싸여 있으며 퓨젯사운드 바다에서 약 2km. 어디서나 눈덮인 산봉우리를 볼 수 있으며, 강의실에서 걸어서 5분 거리에 있는 와합 호수를 비롯해 주위에 호수가 많음. 또한 시애틀, 포트랜드와 밴쿠버로 쉽게 운전해서 갈 수 있는 거리입니다.
