Rosemead College of English was established in 1992. RCE has two campuses, one in Rosemead and one in Torrance; both have been approved by the INS to issue the SEVIS I-20 form to foreign students who intend to apply for a student visa (F-1). RCE offers ESL, TOEFL and TOEIC prep classes, and a specialized NCLEX-RN prep program (Torrance campus only) tailored specifically for international nurses. It is also an official testing center for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) examination.

ESL Program Rosemead College of English (RCE) offers six levels of study in our Intensive English Program (IEP). Each level has classes in pronunciation, reading, writing, grammar, listening and oral communication. In order to determine which level is the most appropriate for a student who wishes to enroll in our program, he/she is required to take a placement test upon registration.
TOEFL Preparation Program Our 16-week TOEFL Preparation Program enables students to master the new internet based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). TOEFL measures students' English proficiency and is required by most US colleges and universities for admission of international students. Students at the Rosemead College of English TOEFL iBT Preparation class will:

ㆍWork on actual TOEFL test problems and sections
ㆍTake a weekly TOEFL diagnostic test
ㆍTake the TOEFL iBT test on-site at Rosemead College of English
TOEIC Preparation Program As an official TOEIC test center, our school offers students a 16-week program of preparation courses making it possible for them to master the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC). The course offers instruction on four areas of the test-listening, reading, grammar, and vocabulary. Besides regular class instruction, we also provide weekly practice test to monitor students' progress. A student can obtain a total score of 990 on the TOEIC test. Rosemead College of English students score an average of over 800 on this exam.
Campus of Rosemead College of English is located on Valley Boulevard. It is very close to the freeway and about 15 minutes away from Pasadena, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Southern California, famous for its Rose parade and California Institute of Technology. It is also about 25 minutes away from Hollywood, Santa Monica and wonderful sandy ocean beaches.
