1988년부터 Intensive English Center는 미국에서 대학을 다니고싶은 학생들 또는 단순히 영어 실력을 개인적인 이유나 직업적인 이유로 향상 시키고 싶은 사람들의 요구를 반영하고 만족시키기 위해 다양한 프로그램과 액티비티 활동을 구성해 제공합니다. IEC 강사진은 높은 학위를 소유한 경력있는 선생님들로 구성됩니다. 학급 사이즈는 작아 학생들 개개인에 대한 집중도가 높습니다.

Intensive English Program After comprehensive testing during the first week of the program, students are placed into levels from beginning to advanced. It is mandatory for all students in core classes to attend classes for a minimum of 18 hours per week. This includes all morning hours of language skills and a minimum of two afternoon courses per week. Morning classes are from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during the spring and fall semesters (see actual class schedule below), and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. during the summer. IEC core classes meet Monday through Friday for a minimum of three hours each day. They include the following skills: Speaking and Listening, Writing and Structure, and Reading and Vocabulary. At the end of each session, students receive an IEC grade report, a university transcript and a certificate of completion. [Course Contents] Core Language Skills Afternoon Classes & Electives: Students are required to attend a minimum of 3 afternoon classes. The class offerings depend on the level of the core classes they attend in the mornings. Language Learning Center(LLRC): IEC students have the opportunity to enhance their English skills by using appropriate materials in the University's multi-media Language Learning & Research Center (LLRC).
