The Pre-MBA/Masters Intensive English Program builds business English skills and confidence for international students entering Thunderbird's prestigious MBA program or another graduate business program.
Program Overview Three types of TOEFL Preparation programs are available to best suit your needs: [Elite Program] Students who have taken the TOEFL test and scored a 61 iBT, 173 CAT, or 500 PBT are encouraged to enroll in Thunderbird's Elite TOEFL Preparation Program. • Offers one-on-one instruction with skilled professors. • Allows you flexibility by creating a personalized program curriculum, schedule, and program dates that best suit your needs. • Consists of 30 sessions of instruction, typically tailored in a four-to-six-week format. [Foundations Program] Students who have taken the TOEFL test and have a score of 71 iBT, 197 CAT, or 530 PBT or above have the option of enrolling in Thunderbird's Foundations TOEFL Preparation Program. • Offers one-on-one instruction with skilled professors. • Allows you flexibility by creating a personalized program curriculum, schedule and program dates that best suit your needs. Ideal for working professionals, and students with limited time who will be coming to Thunderbird. • Consists of 24 sessions of instruction, typically tailored in a two-to-three-week format. [Intensive Program] Need a quick boost in TOEFL test-taking strategies? Students who have taken the TOEFL test and have a score of 79 iBT, 213 CAT, or 550 PBT or above have the option of enrolling in Thunderbird's Intensive TOEFL Preparation Program. • Offers one-on-one instruction with skilled professors. • Allows you flexibility by creating a personalized program curriculum, schedule and program dates that best suit your needs. Ideal for working professionals, and students with limited time who are coming to Thunderbird. • Consists of 12 sessions of instruction, typically tailored in a two-to-three-week format.
TLCP offers three types of GMAT Preparation programs to best suit your needs: [Elite Program] Students who have taken the GMAT test and scored a 480+ are encouraged to enroll in Thunderbird's Elite GMAT Preparation Program. • Offers one-on-one instruction with skilled professors. • Allows you flexibility by creating a personalized program curriculum, schedule, and program dates that best suit your needs. • Consists of 30 sessions of instruction, typically tailored in a 4-6 week format. The Thunderbird Language and Culture Programs (TLCP) offer an English Boot Camp, uniquely designed for students who do not speak English as their native language. The program builds business English skills and confidence for international students entering Thunderbird's MBA and master's programs or another graduate business program. This is a 2-week program with 25 hours of instruction per week or 50 hours total for the English Refresher Program. The English Boot Camp program is a separate program and is not combined with the 10-week Pre-MBA/Master's Intensive English Program. Prerequisites • Undergraduate degree • TOEFL score of 98-99 iBT (247-249 CAT) (597 PBT), an IELTS score of 6.5, or a PTE score of 67 • Minimum GMAT score of 550* Business professionals and student spouses who have sufficient English skills may also apply and will be considered for admission on an individual basis. *The minimum required GMAT score to attend the English Boot Camp is 550. Admittance and attendance of the English Boot Camp does not guarantee admission to Thunderbird's MBA or master's programs.
