University of South Alabama의 English Language Center (ELC)는 인텐시브 영어 과정과 문화적인 오리엔테이션을 제공합니다. 미국 대학으로 진학을 원하거나 단순히 영어 실력을 향상하고자 하는 학생 모두에게 적합한 과정입니다. 8주 과정으로 연간 5번 개설하며 총5레벨로 구성되어 있습니다. 주당 20시간의 수업이 제공되며 전문적인 자격을 갖춘 영어 교사들이 수업을 진행합니다. 대학교 부설답게 대학진학 프로그램과 토플 시험 준비 과정 등이 개설되어 있으며 진학 상담과 함께 합니다.

The English Language Center is located on the campus of the University of South Alabama in the western area of Mobile, Alabama. The Campus covers 1,200 acres, much of it forested. One of the oldest cities in the United States, greater Mobile has a population of 500,000 and is well known for its trees, gardens and historic architecture. The annual Mardi Gras (carnival) celebration in February and March draws thousands of visitors from other states to see three weeks of parades and festivities. Fishing, boating, and water sports are popular weekend activities. The climate is subtropical, with mild winters and an average temperature of 68 degrees F. Mobile is an important port city and offers easy access to Gulf Coast beaches in Alabama and Florida. It is a 2-hour drive to the famous touristic city of New Orleans, Louisiana, which is known for its food, music and historic neighborhoods, and 45 minutes to Pensacola, Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico.
