This program prepares students to attain the English proficiency level required by the university. Virtually all students who complete ESL coursework succeed in regular coursework in their chosen field of study. * The International Student Every International Student who needs to become more proficient in English will benefit from the ESL program at Webster. > Small classes mean that you receive individual attention. > Intermediate and advanced classes place you where you learn the most. > Classes are offered throughout the year: Summer 8 week intensive classes. Fall and spring 16 week semi-intensive classes. > Classes are designed to develop skills you need to succeed at Webster: Pronunciation and Diction fosters clear communication. Discussion Skills prepares you to participate fully in class. Reading and Writing develops effective academic reading and writing skills. Language Skills integrates grammar and vocabulary with the four basic language skills. Test Prep Techniques helps you reach TOEFL goals. Listening and Note Taking.
