Hello everyone
AWork Study Abroad here :)
In our last post, we covered Asiana Airlines' baggage
size limits and precautions.
>>>Click here for Asiana Airlines baggage info<<<
Today, we'll look at another of Korea's major airlines,
Korean Air's baggage policy and precautions.
< Precautions When Preparing Your Baggage >
- Attach a name tag clearly showing your name, address, and destination
- For sports equipment like bicycles or surfboards,
or pets, contact the airline in advance
- Some items cannot be checked or carried on
>>>See Korean Air's prohibited items in detail<<<
< Precautions During Baggage Check-in >
- The weight measured at the airport may differ from what you measured at home.
- Regardless of paying an excess baggage fee, some countries
won't allow you to check bags over 32kg.
- You cannot check in baggage on behalf of another person.
- To smoothly collect your baggage at the arrival airport,
it's best to keep your baggage claim tag until you arrive.
< When Collecting Your Baggage >
- After finding your baggage at the carousel, make sure to check
it's really yours. Since many suitcases look similar,
it's a good idea to attach a name tag.
- If you have items to declare, fill out the
‘Travelers' Customs Declaration Form’ handed out on the plane, then
submit it to the customs officer along with your passport
< Carry-on Baggage Size >
The sum of the three sides must be within 115cm, and no single side
may exceed what's shown in the photo.
