How Does the Health Check for a Working Holiday or Student Visa Work? | Test Details and Process Explained

Hello, this is Awork Academy.

When applying for a visa, one of the essential preparations you must complete is the "health check (medical examination)".

The required documents and procedures for the health check vary depending on the visa type and the hospital,
so we recommend always contacting the hospital in advance and making a reservation before your visit.

This time, we'll introduce health check information at designated hospitals

[Notes / Additional Information]

  • Within Japan, the panel physicians/designated doctors specified by each country are limited, and the list of hospitals "officially designated" by each country must be checked on the embassy or immigration office website (e.g., Canada's Panel Physicians list).

  • The method of submitting the medical report (e.g., via eMedical or direct submission), required documents, time needed, and fees vary by hospital and country. When making a reservation, please confirm the destination country and required documents (such as HAP ID, INZ number, etc.).
