About the School
Britannia College's aim is to ensure that students taking English courses at Britannia College benefit from the expertise and enthusiasm of our teaching staff and other members of the organisation. - Teachers are native English speakers with high EFL qualifications, like CELTA and equivalents or higher have been selected as teachers. They are mature and experienced at teaching all English Language skills. In addition, they have extra qualifications or qualifying experience in business or other academic subjects which enable them to bring added value to the business English, special purpose or exam classroom.

Depending on the time of year special interest courses may be combined with some of these activities. - Valletta itself has a cinema complex where all films are screened in English as they are in other cinema complexes around the islands. - Concerts featuring international performers, plays and art exhibitions run through the whole time winter season from September to June. - Outdoor performances such as the traditional annual Shakespeare production in the gardens of the president’s palace and the annual jazz festival on the 400-hundred year-old quays of Grand Harbour take place in July
Surroundings
You can easily take a bus or a ferry across Marsamxett Harbour to visit the shops, cafés and beaches of Sliema. The St. Julians nightspots can be reached with a single bus ride of about 25 minutes from the Valletta or Sliema area, and from Sliema they are a 15 to 20 minute walk away.
